Mechatronics

Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Mechatronics

Characteristics Of The Field Of Study

Course description/educational objectives and outcomes

First degree studies with a practical profile which last 3.5 years (seven semesters).
The studies are interdisciplinary in various disciplines of technical sciences, such as: mechanics, mechanical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, automatics and robotics, materials engineering. A 6 months long professional placement plays a very important role in the education process, serving the student’s acquisition of practical skills and social competences.

During the fifth semester of study, students can select one specialisation:

  • Industrial Mechatronics – the student expands his/her knowledge in the field of electromobility, vehicle propulsion systems, automotive diagnostics, mechatronic (electronic) systems and systems in vehicles, programming and prototyping on CNC machines, industrial PLC controllers
  • Mechatronic Systems Engineering – the student expands his/her knowledge in the field of vehicle construction and operation, automotive diagnostics, technical diagnostics of mechatronic devices, robot and manipulator control, CNC machine tool programming, industrial vision systems, integrated control systems.
