The State Higher Vocational School in Tarnów is the university of this type most often chosen by students in Poland for the fifth year in a row! According to the announcement of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education “On the results of recruitment for the academic year 2019/2020”, our University was ahead of PWSZ in Chełm, second in the ranking. An additional reason to be happy is the fact that the list of the 16 most popular fields of study in the country includes as many as seven from the current didactic offer of the State Higher School of Education in Tarnów.
During three rounds of enrollment in the electronic enrollment system for studies, 2,156 people expressed their willingness to start education in Tarnów. Ultimately, 1,554 students enrolled in all types of studies. The most popular faculties chosen at PWSZ were: Administration (343 people), Nursing (333), Economics (139), English Philology (136), Computer Science (96), Physical Education (83) and Physiotherapy (82).
This information, which is worth emphasizing – developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, is particularly valuable to us. It confirms that young people trust us, and the didactic offer we have for them prompts them to choose studies at the PWSZ. Thank you very much for this trust – says prof. dr hab. Eng. According to the information from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 424 328 people started their studies at Polish universities this year. Interestingly, as many as seven fields of study from the current didactic offer of the State Higher School of Higher Education in Tarnów (IT, Economics, English Philology, Finance, Administration, Automation and Robotics, Physiotherapy) are among the sixteen most popular fields of study in full-time first-cycle studies and uniform master’s studies.
As a curiosity, it can be added that the largest number of people in Poland applied for admission to the following faculties: Japanese Studies (26.1 people per place), Mathematics and Data Analysis (22.2), Sinology (19.5), Modern Arts (16), electromobility (15.9), image communication (15.7).
Information on the results of enrollment for studies in the 2019/2020 academic year was prepared at the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on the basis of data provided by universities in the EN-1 report to the Integrated Information System on Science and Higher Education POL-on.
