The first stratospheric radiosonde mission in the history of the University was completed successfully. On July 29, students and employees of the UAS in Tarnów released a balloon with a suspended payload from the campus, which left the troposphere and rose to an altitude of 34.5 kilometers above the earth.
After receiving the consent of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, the helium-filled balloon, equipped with a radiosonde and a 360-degree camera, took off from Tarnów before noon, and after an approximately three-hour flight, it was intercepted near Dębica.
