Characteristics Of The Field Of Study

Course description/educational objectives and outcomes

The Economics degree is offered in both modes – full time and part time. Students can study on two specialties:

  • Economics of Tourism and Hotel Management – students gain knowledge about the functioning of tourist entities and hotels, learn about economic issues related to the operation of tourism – organization, marketing and management, as well as elements of collective nutrition. An inseparable element of education is the knowledge of the English language, which, apart from the basic 3 semesters, can be continued by students also during the third year of studies. In addition, students undergo apprenticeship in Poland or abroad
  • Company Finances – students gain extensive knowledge and skills, incl. in the field of accounting in enterprises, analysis and financial projection in the company, preparation of financial reports, management accounting, corporate finance, public finance, tax system in Poland and the EU, principles of the banking system, economic and social insurance, pension funds, functioning of financial markets , accounting consultancy, property valuation and methods of valuation of economic projects and the principles of operation of structural funds of the EU structural policy. In addition, students undergo apprenticeship in Poland or abroad.

Economics is the eight subject in the didactic offer of the University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow, where you can get a master’s degree. The course is offered in full time and part time mode.

Graduates will obtain high qualifications in the field of soft skills and will be equipped with an extensive range of the latest economic knowledge that allows them to effectively compete on the modern labor market

Law
Department of Administration

A five-year degree program in law will provide legal education at the master’s level. Graduates gain the knowledge to move efficiently within the structures of the state and develop the skills to interpret legal texts using doctrine and case law. The knowledge also prepares for a career in law. The study programme combines general and theoretical content with specialization content to equip graduates with practical skills, preparing students not only for law applications and work in the legal profession, but also to be active in companies as in-house lawyers, as well as running their own business. The graduates obtains the professional title of Master of Law, which entitles them to take examinations for legal applications. In addition, the graduate is prepared to continue his education in postgraduate studies and to take up education in third-degree (doctoral) studies.
